Hope

Educating, equipping, and supporting those at-risk.

Our Hope program educates in the sanctity of human life, job skills, and family leadership. We also offer safe housing, counseling and support services for at-risk pregnant women. It is our answer to the vulnerable children and gender based violence affecting South Africa.

It’s all about life.

Ignite South Africa’s answer to the vulnerable children and rape crisis affecting South Africa is our Hope Programs.

Within the rural areas of Qwa Qwa, orphaned children are 1 in 4.  We also know that orphaned and at-risk girls especially fall prey to sexual exploitation (for food, toiletries etc), abuse, and trafficking. Their situation seems hopeless, and when they find themselves pregnant, desperation often results.  Over the years working with the youth, we saw the great need and the Hope program was our answer.

Ignite Newsletter

Imagine a father’s despair when he’s working hard to provide for his wife and new baby, and then loses his job. Imagine a mother’s stress as she’s learning to care for a new baby and is now fearful about an uncertain future. When a father reached out to Ignite, Dudu and Busisiwe jumped into action. They helped mom with practical needs including baby supplies and parenting classes. They provided her emotional support through encouragement and counseling. And they provided spiritual support through scripture and prayer. And when she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she found her stress being replaced by peace and her fear being replaced by faith. They also connected the father with community resources including an employment service, and are encouraging him emotionally and spiritually as well.
