Rebekah

Our World Race mission team is off to their next God-appointed adventure and we’re so thankful for the time they spent with us.  As they invested their time and talents into Vacation Bible School, FlashPoint book delivery, Relationship Evangelism and Children’s Ministry they touched many people with the love and gospel of Christ.  When we asked team members to share about their experiences, here is what team leader Rebekah had to say.

“I really enjoyed the challenge and opportunity of relationship evangelism in Qwa Qwa with Pastor Abram and Jeannette. Going out to simply love people and hear their stories is something I have not done with this kind of intention. It was amazing to see how God went before us and prepared the hearts of people to hear the gospel. It often took time, but eventually, the conversation would naturally turn to something deeper and spiritual. Having patience, laying down any kind of agenda, and trusting the Lord to lead the conversation is a must for RE.

I loved seeing how the Lord encouraged many elderly while my team was out. One experience was meeting a couple who were mostly home bound. We talked with them, prayed for healing, shared the gospel, and invited them to church. The gentleman was able to join Abram many times that week for evening services, and on Sunday. Continue to pray for healing for his wife so she can walk the distance to attend.

Also, we met a young woman and asked to visit with her. We came to her home later in the day and met her mother at the home. Her mom was sick with diabetes and had not left the home for days. While we were there, she had many friends visit. We were able to pray with her, and one friend invited us to attend an elderly school/bible study the next day. When we arrived the following morning, a group of about twenty women and one man welcomed us. We were able to teach, share testimonies, and sing with them. They were so blessed and encouraged in the Lord! It was amazing to see how the string of events led us to meet and encourage so many people along the way, and I was blessed to be a part of it! I love the way God works both in us and through us!

Thanks for the opportunities. I am challenged to find a way to do some sort of relationship evangelism when I return home. Abram and Jeannette are such a mighty couple, and I am encouraged by their persistence, patience, and love they share to bless people and advance the Kingdom of God!” – Rebekah Neese
